Experience a fluid and organic approach to floor-based acrobatic movement through key fundamentals such as sliding, rolling, pushing, and propelling yourself.
Develop and challenge your agility by working on weight transfer, momentum, and fluidity of movement, expanding your ability to transition between the floor and standing positions, and vice versa.
In the second part of the workshop, learning a choreographic phrase will help consolidate these skills, enhance coordination, and deepen body awareness—focusing less on form and more on rhythm and the flow of released energy.
This workshop invites you to make the floor a true dance partner, cultivating your flow and physical dynamics.
Simon Durocher-Gosselin
A creator attuned to the possibilities his environment can offer, Simon Durocher-Gosselin explores and blends circus and scenographic techniques, constantly pushing the boundaries of his inventiveness. Deeply committed to solidarity, mutual aid, and a sense of community among plant life, fauna, and humans, he takes pleasure in assembling and bringing together both matter and living beings.
Following his training in social circus at the National Circus School of Montreal, he has been teaching and sharing his passion for the performing arts for over 20 years. He has performed in numerous festivals and special events in Canada and internationally with Cirque du Soleil, the dance company Sursaut, as well as in creations by the company LabokracBoom, where he serves as co-artistic director.
An invitation to explore movement as a relational language with gravity, oneself, and others. This workshop offers a space to refine bodily listening, develop collective proprioception, and expand one’s relational movement vocabulary.
We will experiment with weight transfer, rolling and sliding points of contact, basic lifts, as well as transitions between levels, observing how gravity can become a true dance partner. The emphasis will be on sensitivity, analysis, and awareness of bodily dynamics in interaction with oneself and others.
Through solo, duo, and group explorations, along with mini-jams, participants will test, integrate, and experiment with these tools in a safe environment. The workshop invites participants to deepen their movement practice, question their reference points, and develop a shared bodily intelligence—nurturing creativity, personal research, and a relationship to living movement, both in the studio and in natural environments.

Pierre Robichaud
Pierre Robichaud describes himself as a movement artisan and a passionate practitioner of Contact Improvisation. A former beach volleyball athlete, his journey gradually led him toward exploring somatic approaches and body–mind awareness.
Trained in various practices such as Body-Mind Centering, fasciatherapy, sensory gymnastics, capoeira, Qi Gong, and yoga, he is particularly interested in how deep bodily listening can support movement, relationship, and creativity.
He fell in love with Contact Improvisation over ten years ago. This practice opened up a whole new world for him: a space to learn to listen to his body and its limits, to heal certain injuries, and to discover the richness of movement in relationship.

Founder of Movement Practice Montreal
Explore the four faces of movement: the body, the mind, the environment, and people. In this in-depth workshop, movement becomes the earthly vessel through which to explore these four aspects. Diversification serves as the foundational grounding of this practice—a counterculture to specialization, which seeks to categorize everything into rigid boxes.
Adel Shiab
Adel Shiab has been a kinesiologist for over 10 years and has been a certified osteopath (D.O.) since 2020. He founded Mouvement Practice Montreal, a gathering space dedicated to movement practice in its fullest sense, inspired by the approach of Marcello Palozzo.
For him, movement goes far beyond training—it is an opportunity to share, connect, and help a community evolve around a common passion. Diversify your movements and follow your body as your ultimate guide.
Founder of Movement Circle Montreal
Explore the key questions of your practice, the origins of your actions, and your own unique radiance in this hands-on Movement workshop. Integrating internal work, acrobatics, and dance, the workshop invites your curiosity to journey through the body—to express, feel, and create.

Toufic Geagea
Toufic is the founder of Movement Circle Montreal and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. His journey connects acrobatics with improvisation, open-form exploration, and awareness-based movement. Shaped by eight years of movement practice, studies with Ido Portal and Marcello Palozzo, and certification as an acrobatics instructor with Paragym, his work blends structure and freedom through a holistic approach to movement. By combining academic knowledge with lived experience, Toufic creates spaces where movement becomes a language of connection, expression, and self-discovery.

This workshop will provide you with all the essential tools to improve your handstand practice and find your stability. We will break down the prerequisites—mobility, strength, and endurance—needed to start and progress in hand balances. By identifying limiting factors and addressing them directly, progression becomes both smooth and effective. Get ready to spend plenty of time inverted, learn proper spotting techniques, and practice a variety of entry and exit variations.
Jessie Thibault
Shaped by athletic performance and forged in the artistic world of circus, Jessie has spent 11 years in the field of kinesiology, where she developed a deep understanding of human anatomy and body mechanics. Notably, in 2024, she served as a course instructor and strength & conditioning coach for the professional program at the École de Cirque de Québec. The values guiding her teaching in movement arts are ease of movement, injury prevention, artistic creation, and balance.
Founder of Village Kung-Fu
This training combines flexibility, movement control, expression, balance, strength, and rhythm. It is a coordinated practice of a series of movements that flow dynamically. The class is very comprehensive, suitable for everyone, and highly effective both physically and mentally. It is also an art form that will boost your confidence in your abilities. We will conclude with a meditation that promotes relaxation and enhances vital energy through physical release and mental calm. Well-being is experienced in both body and mind.

Edigar Nzeyimana
Edigar has been teaching Kung Fu Wushu and Tai Chi for 24 years. He was introduced to the art of Kung Fu shortly before the age of seven, after the war and genocide in Rwanda, during which he was forced to live on the streets. After some time, he felt the need to practice a martial art to defend himself against the dangers of his environment. He also discovered a path that brought him strength and wisdom, both physically and mentally. Today, he draws from both disciplines—Kung Fu and Tai Chi—which he considers complementary approaches. He now shares his teachings in a non-competitive context, focusing on the harmonization of body and mind.

Ring Work
Develop your primal strength using Olympic rings, which allow you to pull yourself up while gaining strength and stability at every level. Jesper will guide you in your progress, as always, in a spirit of play, growth, and the development of your full movement potential.
Meditation
Start the day in woodland tranquility, connecting with your breath, your body, and the valley that will gently carry us throughout the weekend.
Spinal Mobility
A workshop to reconnect with your reptilian movements, often latent within us, just waiting to be expressed! “The body is only as old as the spine.” Develop spinal fluidity and mobility for a stronger, more resilient body in everyday life.
Jesper Orelöv
Originally from Sweden, Jesper shares his Scandinavian rigor, talent, and passion through over 15 years of movement teaching. He draws inspiration from Ido Portal’s movement culture, animal locomotion, gymnastics, calisthenics, martial arts, and circus arts. His unique touch, playful approach, and impeccable structure allow us to push further with each practice. With HMA, he guides passionate movement groups in Sherbrooke and is developing his Holistic Movement Instructor program, which will launch in the fall of 2026.
Co-founder of Holistic Movement Academy & Midsummer Movement Gathering
Yoga
Whether it’s morning yoga to awaken the body and mind, or an Asana Lab—workshops focused on refining advanced yoga poses—Vanessa guides you step by step toward fully expanding your postures and opening your body. We won’t use the body to get into the poses; instead, we’ll use the poses to get into the body! Get ready to awaken your psoas and back arches, leaving your heart wide open.
Flow Arts
Take a break from handstands and forest trails to develop your coordination and nervous system. Learn the basics of Poi, a flow art related to juggling, all in a relaxed forest setting.
Thai Massage
To fully recover from your active weekend, we end with a gentle, restorative partner workshop! Learn the basics of Thai massage and refresh both your body and mind.

Vanessa Doyon
Yoga came ealry into Vanessa’s life. Naturally curious from childhood, she was introduced to Hatha Yoga at the age of 13 and has been practicing continuously ever since. Passionate about the human experience in all its dimensions, her journey weaves together body and mind: from medicine to social work, through massage therapy, and numerous trainings in yoga, meditation, and breathwork since 2013. It is no coincidence that she is now developing her Hatha Yoga teacher training. Her vision is to guide individuals in their personal growth in a holistic, compassionate way, grounded in solid foundations.

Dive into the many possibilities that AcroYoga offers. Everything you’ve learned in your personal practice will be challenged on a whole new level through connection, balance, and counterbalance with a partner. In two sessions, we’ll first establish a solid foundation for beginners, then progress to more complex sequences. If you love to play, connect, learn, and grow while being supported by experienced guides, this workshop is for you!
Eric & Isabelle
Eric had over ten years of AcroYoga experience when he met Isabelle almost two years ago. Since then, they have been growing together in this beautiful (and endless) discipline of AcroYoga! Through a journey full of exploration, laughter, falls (graceful, of course!), and moments of balance, they have developed a connection and strength they never could have imagined. This is exactly what they want to share in their workshops!
Dance & Jam evening party with Sonn Castonguay
Originally from Sherbrooke and rooted in Laotian heritage, SONN became a musician from a young age. Her move behind the decks is a natural extension of this journey—a fluid and deliberate sonic trajectory. On stage, she crafts sets where depth and melody meet with intensity. Striking energy, enveloping grooves, controlled tension, and sensitive release coexist in uncompromising balance. Each performance becomes a space where body and emotion converse through rhythm.
At the Midsummer Movement Gathering, she will carry you through warm, tribal, and summery rhythms, inviting you to dance and play in a true celebration of movement.

In this workshop, we explore the Art of Movement a bit like poetry; the goal is to develop your vocabulary so that you can later create with greater freedom. The Art of Movement can be practiced in any environment and aims to traverse obstacles in your path with grace. There is no obstacle on your path—the obstacle is the path…!
